Don't forget to sign up for Homestead Exemption
In order to qualify for homestead exemption, the homeowner must occupy the property as his/her primary residence. Regardless of how many houses are owned, no one is entitled to more than one homestead exemption.
To sign up for Homestead Exemption, bring a copy of the recorded cash sale, along with a photo id, to your Parish's courthouse:
